CANCELLED: Blacksmith Demo with Abe

CANCELLED - Due to equipment issues, we need to cancel this demo. BUT, the next demo will be Saturday, December 7, 10a to 1p.

Come see some old fashioned blacksmithing done by our local expert, Abe Doss. He will demonstrate artistic blacksmithing and talk about the process. Our blacksmith shop is a replica of what an early 1900's shop would look like. Constructed of antique board and batten siding.

Abe is the owner of Doss Metals, LLC-  custom welding services. Abe has been "smithing" since he was a kid. He used to put nails in his wood stove and hammer them for fun. He mentored under the master blacksmith Charles Stolte for 5 years and holds a certificate in art metals and is certified in structural steel welding from ACC. Member of ABANA.

He loves to design ornamental ironwork, and to incorporate elements of nature within functional pieces.
